As you could probably tell from a good mile away, I am obsessed with my camera and photography in general. So aside from shooting, tinkering and experimenting with the camera, I also browse a lot of other people's sites whose photography I admire. And let us not forget the myriad tips, tricks and photography techniques anyone can find in good old Google.
While it was a good thing at first, I now find myself getting frustrated when I start comparing my works to theirs. I know, I know, it's never a good thing to compare--especially when you're but an amateur looking at the works of Pros, for chrissakes. But pardon me, I do because I am that ambitious. Haha.
Anywho. I ought to finally stop looking, or at least minimize comparing my work with anyones else's, be they amateur or pro. The point is it's high time I go looking for my own style. Photographic influences is one thing, but I really gotta go find my own perspective. Enough with reading tips for the moment, and more on applying them, maybe even discovering one on my own. So God help me open my eyes to new shooting opportunities.
